The expanded food shelf area

Semcac's Houston County Contact Center and Food Shelf in Caledonia underwent significant renovations late last fall. New space in the building became available when Semcac Head Start moved its Caledonia classroom to the Caledonia Elementary School before the start of the school year. This move freed up space at the Contact Center, located at 138 E. Main Street, allowing the food shelf to grow and adding improved office space for employees of several Semcac programs. The larger food shelf provides much better shopping space for clients and offers a food storage area on the main level. No services were interrupted during the renovation.

Semcac is hosting an open house at the Contact Center on Wednesday, March 17 from 3:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. The public is welcome to join staff and board members to see the changes and to learn more about Semcac’s programs in Houston County. For more information, call 725-3677.
