Semcac strives to offer necessary transportation services in the southeastern Minnesota region

Affordable bus fares and volunteer-based rides are how we make this possible.

We understand that sometimes getting where you need to be can be difficult or inconvenient.  You may need a ride due to unforseen circumstances, you may not drive, or it can just be too costly.  We know that there are places that you need to be.

Whether you have a medical appointment, need a ride to work, to daycare, to a local business, senior dining site or even a Semcac Contact Center, etc. we are happy to give you a lift!Rolling-Hills-Trasit-lgo

Volunteer Drivers & Donation-Based Rides

VDP logo 2016 no shadow

Semcac Volunteer Driver Program provides transportation for persons on Medical Assistance, Blue Plus and UCare to medical and dental appointments. This program also provides transportation to anyone who is 60 years and older to medical, dental or personal appointments as well as to senior congregate dining.

The Semcac Volunteer Driver Program allows for citizens to volunteer their time (using their own vehicle) in order to help meet the transportation needs of others in the community.  Volunteers are Transportation_0127_01needed for this vital service.

Semcac dispatch offices arrange the rides for you. Riders receive a monthly letter requesting a donation for the cost of their rides (if they are not on Medical Assistance).  Donation requests are based on a sliding fee scale, according to income.  48 hour advance notice is required, please call in advance.
