Head Start – Toddler Teacher – Austin
JOB STATUS: Head Start is hiring a full-time toddler teacher.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- CDA Credential
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Semcac Head Start is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team of early childhood professionals. If you believe learning happens through play, discovery, and warm, responsive caregiving—you’re our kind of teacher.
What You’ll Do:
- Create a nurturing, safe, and fun environment for toddlers (ages 16–36 months)
- Support developmental milestones in language, motor skills, and social-emotional growth
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Collaborate with a caring team of educators and support staff
- Use developmentally appropriate practices rooted in Head Start performance standards
- Track progress and contribute to individualized learning plans
What You Bring:
- CDA in Infant/Toddler OR Associate’s/Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field
- A heart for supporting children and families
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility, patience, and a whole lot of love for a little learner
COMPENSATION
$20.58-25.21. Higher starting rates are available for those with 10 or more years of direct experience and a bilingualism differential.
