Head Start – Home Based Educator – Austin (Karenni Speaking Preferred)
JOB STATUS: Full-time
LOCATION: Austin
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Must be 18 years of age or older. CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain. CDA Credential or desire to receive.Family Service Credential within 18 months of hire. (provided by Head Start)
COMPENSATION RANGE: $20.58-$25.21. Higher starting rates are available for those with 10 or more years of direct experience and a bilingualism differential.

We’re looking for a compassionate, organized, and energetic Home-Based Educator to join our mission-driven team! What You’ll Do
- Provide Early Head Start services through weekly home visits and twice-monthly socialization sessions.
- Support parents as partners in their child’s development and learning.
- Plan engaging, individualized activities that promote school readiness and family growth.
- Connect families with resources that support health, nutrition, and self-sufficiency.
- Keep accurate records and maintain professional boundaries
- Help with community outreach and enrollment efforts.
What You Bring
- A Home Visiting CDA credential or related degree (or willingness to earn one).
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- An understanding of child development and a passion for family engagement.
- A reliable vehicle for travel within our six-county area.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
