March is Minnesota Food Share Month  Semcac operates four food shelves in the cities of Rushford, Preston, Kasson and Caledonia. The effects of hunger for an individual or family can range from poor health and slowed recovery from injury or illness to poor performance at school or work.  In 2012, more than 8,500 people per day used a food shelf in Minnesota.  During 2013, Semcac Food Shelves in Rushford, Preston, Caledonia, and Kasson assisted over 1,460 households with supplemental or emergency food. Semcac is currently seeking consumer leader candidates who are interested in being part of the Board of Directors.  Consumer elections will be held in March.  This year elections will be held for Dodge County, Freeborn County and Houston County.   76 W. 3rd Street, Winona - renamed Semcac Center Semcac Clinic + Semcac Outreach & Emergency Services = Semcac Center The location that has previously been used solely for Semcac Clinic in Winona is now permanently also the location for Semcac Outreach & Emergency Services.  The staff joined office space due to the Winona fire this past fall, one block east, where the outreach staff was previously housed.
