Head Start-Early Head Start Home-Based Educator – Winona
JOB STATUS: Semcac Head Start is seeking a dedicated and compassionate year-round, full-time, 36-hour-per-week Early Head Start Home-Based Educator to support infants, toddlers, and their families through a relationship-based home-visiting model. This position focuses on promoting school readiness, strengthening parent-child relationships, and supporting family well-being.
LOCATION: Winona, MN
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly home visits with enrolled families using a research-based curriculum
- Plan and facilitate developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers (prenatal–3 years)
- Support parents as their child’s primary teacher through coaching and collaboration
- Conduct screenings and ongoing assessments of child development
- Facilitate group socialization experiences twice per month
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with Head Start Performance Standards
- Partner with families to set goals and connect them with community resources
- Participate in professional development and reflective supervision
COMPENSATION: $21.08-23.45. Higher starting rates are available for those with 10 or more years of direct experience. Semcac offers prorated holidays, a full benefit package, a 401(k) retirement plan, an Employee Assistance Program, and optional insurance benefits, including vision.
