Head Start – Para – Austin
JOB STATUS: Full-time flexible schedule with program hours (32-40 hours/wk), Monday – Friday, School Year-10 months per year.
LOCATION: Austin
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Must be 18 years of age or older. CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain. CDA Credential or desire to receive.
COMPENSATION: $16.03-$19.23. Higher starting rates are available for those with 10 or more years of direct experience and a bilingualism differential. What You’ll Do:
- Support the classroom teacher in a lively preschool environment
- Assist children with daily routines, learning activities, and social-emotional growth
- Provide encouragement, guidance, and comfort to young learners
- Support communication with children and families, including bilingual support when applicable
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom

- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English or other languages) strongly encouraged
