The name and logo of a southeast Minnesota staple is undergoing an overhaul.
Semcac Transportation, a local busing service, has been renamed Rolling Hills Transit, and a new logo will “begin to be dispersed in the area” over the coming weeks, according to a press release issued Wednesday.
Semcac Transportation has been serving the region since 1966, with a bus option available in Dodge, Houston, Fillmore and rural Winona counties. Services will be expanded to service Stewartville, in addition to a new dispatch center in Kasson.
A new fee schedule has also been unveiled: $1.50 per ride, one way; $3 per ride, one way-outside of city limits; $5 per ride, one way to Rochester; and $1.75 round trip to senior dining.
Rolling Hills Transit operates from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., with reservations made 24 hours in advance. The company’s phone number is 1-800-528-7622.
