Semcac on its way

Semcac Public Transportation, or possibly better known as Rolling Hills Transit, is looking to make itself more known in the Southeastern Minnesota area.

Three years ago, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDot) started up something called “Greater Minnesota.” The idea of this program was to set aside more funding for local transportation.

MnDot broke Minnesota into regions and now various transportation units are setting up throughout the state. Rolling Hills Transit operates throughout parts of Dodge County, Houston County, Fillmore County, Winona County, and Olmsted County. By the end of the year, Dover-Eyota is expected to receive this service as well and Byron is expected to be included by 2015.
