Transportation – Van Operator – Fillmore & Winona County
JOB STATUS: Semcac Transportation is hiring a full-time Van Operator. Monday-Friday.
LOCATION: Fillmore and Winona County
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and three to six months of related experience.
In this role, you will ensure safe, timely transportation for passengers of all ages while providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a positive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate agency vehicles following all federal, state, local, and SEMCAC policies
- Transport passengers of all ages, including individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with boarding, including the use of wheelchair lifts and safety restraints
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly vehicle
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and report maintenance issues
- Complete trip records and required documentation accurately
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a respectful, positive atmosphere
- Respond appropriately in emergencies and administer basic first aid/CPR if needed
- Ensure passenger safety at all times, including proper release to authorized individuals
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATES
- Valid Minnesota Driver’s License
- Must pass the mandatory Pre-employment Drug Screen prior to employment.
- Obtain CPR and First Aid Certification within the first year of employment.
COMPENSATION: $19.70 – $21.92 Higher starting rates are available for those with 10 or more years of direct experience. Semcac offers competitive wages, health, Dental, and Vision insurance, 11 paid holidays, and a generous PTO plan.
