March is Minnesota Food Share Month  Semcac operates four food shelves in the cities of Rushford, Preston, Kasson and Caledonia. The effects of hunger for an individual or family can range from poor health and slowed recovery from injury or illness to poor performance at school or work.  In 2012, more than 8,500 people per day used a food shelf in Minnesota.  During 2013, Semcac Food Shelves in Rushford, Preston, Caledonia, and Kasson assisted over 1,460 households with supplemental or emergency food.
