Semcac has the opportunity to receive money from Merchants Bank’s Swipe Out Hunger campaign, which will run August 1-8. Merchants Bank will donate a nickel to Swipe Out Hunger every time a Merchants Bank credit card or debit card is used between those dates, up to a total of $10,000. Supporters of the Semcac Food Shelf can vote once a day at the Merchants Bank Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/MerchantsBank. At the end of the giveaway, the food shelf with the most votes will receive the top donation prize of $2,500, second place will receive $1,500 and third place will receive $1,000. [...]

Food Shelves Participate in Open Your Heart to Hungry and Homeless Challenge

Caledonia, Kasson, Preston & Rushford, Minn – All four of the Semcac food shelf locations are participating in the 2017 Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless Summer Challenge, a donation drive sponsored by Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless and Hunger Solutions, that takes place in July. As a member of Hunger Solutions Minnesota, Semcac is eligible to receive a percentage of grant funds designated for this challenge.
